The magic box

WALT: use descriptive language in poetry.
Success Criteria: I needed to use adjectives, metaphors, similes, alliteration, descriptive phrases and humour

The magic box

I will put in my box

A magical floating zoo,
a lion with a purple mane,
and macaroni cheese.

I will put in my box

A world of dreams,
a hard snail trail,
a slimy chocolate bar.

I will put in my box

An 100m swimming pool full of coke,
A massive white chocolate bar,
And a rainbow flavoured lollipop.

I will put in my box

Blood dripping on a sword,
An ice block the size of an ant,
And a neon orange alien.

My box is fashioned from soft white lace
and hard gold and solid silver
with me playing tennis on the lid
and light blue in the corners
its hinges are brand new and shiny

In my box i will take a swim in the deep
ocean and wash up in a wonderful place
on the beach!

My magic box

WALT: use descriptive language in poetry.
Success Criteria: I needed to use adjectives, metaphors, similes, alliteration, descriptive phrases and humour

I will put in my box..

A bright pink pig flying in the sky
Colourful harmless fluttering grass
Swaying green spiky butterflies

I will put in my box..

Children laughing in pain
A purple roaring in agony
The sun setting at 9am and rising at 9pm

I will put in my box..

A small panda eating a piece of poison packed bamboo
Extremely painful burps exiting penguins mouths
An upside down mural hanging on the sun

I will put in my box..

A roasted pelican cooking on the barbecue
Flying fish dropping out of the sky dying from no water
A black firework disappearing into the dark dark sky

My box is fashioned from my own blood and guts and helpless animal tears with unique animals painted on the lid and shark fins in the corners. Its hinges are made from carved devil horns.

I shall enter my box to discover all the tortured animals. I shall ride on an elephant with a plastic heart charging through the lands.

Colour poems

WALT: use our five senses to write descriptive colour poems.

Blue

Blue is dreamy
Blue is my favourite colour
Blue is cold but warm in ways
Blue is the sky above
Blue tastes like the aeroplane lollies
Blue smells like the blue bulk daisy
Blue sounds like the sound of bellbirds humming in the distance
Blue feels like calmness all through the land
Blue looks cool
Blue makes me feel happy
Blue is the colour of a sapphire

Adding vocab

Today Sapphire was learning to add interesting vocab to a sentence to make it more exiting. They started with the sentence: I had an ice cream for lunch. Here are some of their pieces of work.
